Typical MARPACS users are materials manufacturers or process
manufacturers or
wholesale distributors, selling from stock or making to order.
The manufacturing companies will be involved with one or more of the following
processes: mixing, melting, moulding, refining, teaming, ladling, rolling,
drawing,
extruding, sawing, cutting, slitting, shearing, straightening, heat-treating,
tempering, casting, fettling, extruding, bottling, examining, chemical testing,
mechanical testing, grinding, turning, drilling, machining, size measuring, weighing,
storing, packing, pack splitting, loading, despatching, etc.
In many cases, MARPACS users are supplying products which are defined by their
chemical, mechanical, physical and/or geometric properties. Sometimes the products
have imprecise or non-existent product codes.
